Rock & Roll
It’s that feeling when you hear your favorite song…that feeling whether you’re in a car or a party or alone at home in bed, and you hear the song and it hits you so strong…that’s sort of my favorite thing about music.

this is one of the first group shots I took of The Strokes on the day that I met them…January 16, 2001! This is in the courtyard of my building on 16th street.

my friend Dan pointed something interesting out at the forum, and why I think this may be their most appropriate artwork yet -

  • “This label was used from the introduction of the Red Seal LP in 1950 through the latter part of 1954.”
This album artwork is a trbute to the original seal and record albums that began in the 50s, which I think represents The Strokes’ intention of having a more retro sound with Comedown Machine. I love their minimalist, subtle approach to this cover.
